Kyleen & Brent

On August 31st we had the opportunity to go to Greensboro and photograph the wedding of Kyleen and Brent. The wedding and reception all took place at the Grandover Resort, but the best part was that this was our second time working with this family. In 2006, we photographed Brent's sister Cortney's wedding and were honored that we were invited back into their family for a second time. Kyleen and Brent are such a cute couple...totally in love :) A couple times during the day I saw the two of them just laughing...that is so cute because they were laughing at each other and each other's jokes. That is always a good sign....finding humor in everything. We had such a good time being with Kyleen & Brent and their families that we just wanted to share. Enjoy.
The Grandover lobby....photographers are not allowed to do pics in there :(
Kyleen getting made over!
Kyleen's cousin...I really like the light in this image
The ceremony took place on the lawn right below Kyleen...and what a bird's eye view she had.

The coordinator made everyone keep in touch by walkie-talkie and at times it became very fun to listen to Brent's antics over the radio. Brent called Courtney golden eagle as her handle and she rightly called him back as bald eagle...very cute...you have got to love the brother-sister love.
Self-explanatory :)

Kyleen, such a happy spiritNervously awaiting
Brent's mom and sister were watching the action start to unfold from the lobby.
Here she comes...and I think even stumbling on the way down...Careful girl, but you got to love the big smiles

I always say the bride will either laugh or cry...it was all laughter and smiles that day

Brent & Kyleen did a rose ceremony...as they filled the glass with water and the rose floated to the top signifying the start of their new life together.
I added this pic because of the bear...of course Brent and Courtney look nice, but this bear has extra special meaning and was also a guest at Courtney's' wedding. This bear was made out of an outfit their late grandfather used to wear...so in spirit that bear is their grand pop....makes me tear up thinking about how special he was to their family.
Almost 1 year : Courtney & Charles
The newly weds...there is that infectious smile again...I told you all day nothing but smiles
Love those flowers!

We had such a wonderful time with these two and we wish them only the best for the future.
Congrats...

Elise & Ross Engagement

Elise & Ross came down from Winston Salem yesterday to do their engagement session on the beach. These two were absolutely fabulous to work with. We have been trying for some time now to find the right couple to roll around in the sand together and get some really sexy shots. Well they totally lived up to the challenge. Elise and Ross decided that Fort Fisher was the place they wanted to go...so we meet down there and started having fun right away.

Elise and Ross are going to married next year in Winston on a horse ranch under a huge Oak tree. How cool is that.

O.K. hold on to your hats...it really starts to get steamy !

I loved how her hair was blowing in the wind...
Check out that sunset...that is worth getting a little wet and sandy :)Right at the end of the shoot a huge wave crashed ashore. Elise, Ross and Christy were soaked to the bone.
Congrats Guys....

Alicia & Todd Engagement

Alicia & Todd are such a cute couple. They decided to do their engagement images at Todd's aunts pier, which also happens to be the place where Todd proposed. Todd and Alicia have been dating a little more than a year and half after meeting in church at Scottshill Baptist. They totally got that down home boy and and girl next door personalities. I can not wait to see the wedding. I love this shot...Alicia's idea.

We also did some images of them in this twisty old tree. Todd said that him and his cousins used to climb this tree as kids. How cute. He referred to this tree more than once as "the tree of life" is that a Lion King knock off :)

You should have seen Alicia get out the tree...quite graceful...could not have done any better myself

Todd's aunt had this old john boat docked...well stuck in the sand...so of course we had to get them in it.

Even with hundreds of sand knats buzzing around our faces & in our noses, they still turned on the smiles

and even danced....
There is the dock he proposed on.

Congrats guys !
