Emily & Mike

Last weekend we traveled up to Fancy Gap, Virgina to meet up with Emily and Mike. It just so happened that they had the weekend off and we would be driving though that area last Sunday, so we decided to seize the moment and do their engagement session along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Good decision! Emily and Mike were a great couple to photograph, very easy going and they totally trusted our judgement. Even though they had to drive back to the coast of Virginia after the session they still gave us ever opportunity we wanted to take photographs...they totally made our weekend worth while. Our first stop was right in Fancy Gap at this quaint little junk shop...I like when the photos have lots of things happening in the background...so how perfect. After snapping a few images here, we moved on to the Parkway and started having fun. Here are a few of their images. Enjoy and thanks again Emily & Mike !!

I love hay bells....Cameron calls them elephants !
Emily is a nurse in an area Virginia hospital and Mike is a Harley riding fire fighter :)

Toward the end of the session we saw a sign for a "quiet walkaway", so we started walking / hiking down the trail and shot these fun pictures along the way.
Who knows what would have happened if Derick and I were not there. Good Stuff ! Love this shot !

Congrats guys and thanks a million!

Jennifer & Casey

Down on the farm ! How cool...a couple weeks ago we met Casey & Jenn at his parents farm in Wallace, complete with hay bells, tractors and cows:) These two really had it together, they knew exactly what they wanted their pictures to be ; fun, spontaneous and even a little sexy and they nailed it. As an additional bonus the sky was beautiful that day, love that. Here are a few on their portraits, enjoy.

True high school sweet-hearts
I love that cowgirl hat :)

I think this is one of my favorite shots from the session...I'd hang that on the way!
After the farm we hopped down to Wrightsville Beach just in time to get the sunsetting. Casey surprised Jenn by asking her to married him at this very spot surrounded by their parents, alittle while back.

Jenn and Casey drew smiley faces on their feet, cute touch.
Cute!!

I think this picture is so romantic...almost like the cover to one of those Harlican Romance Novels. Whewww.
Congratulations guys.

Jennifer & Glenn

Jennifer and Glenn were married here in Wilmington at Kure Beach on October 6th. Their wedding was full of anticipation and sentimental charm right down to the great granny's handkerchief to Jenn's something borrowed, the ear rings her good friend wore during her wedding. Their beach wedding came complete with all the beachy details, sand dollars at every turn and I love that beautiful ocean teal.

Jennifer & Glenn put together a message in a bottle with a note and a wedding invitation enclosed, in hope the finder will contact them !

Congrats!

Angie & Ken

Angie & Ken were married on September 29th at Winter Park Baptist Church. This couple met on a blind date arranged by a friend, wouldn't you have it that the relationship sky rocketed and
1 yr later the couple is now newly weds. Angie and Ken were a great couple to work with both very caring and laid back. We got together with them before the wedding and did some fun engagement shots at the south end. Fun Stuff.

The day on the wedding I just knew that Angie was going to be so nervous but it actually was the opposite...Ken was the nervous Nelly. What a fun day. Here is a couple images from their wedding and engagement session. Enjoy.

The details were all of a topical beach theme, lots of seashells and even bamboo on the cake. The cake was made by Nancy Hearne and boy was it good...the best cake we have had in a while and we eat a lot of cake :)

Beautiful, bright flowers made this day extra special and fit right into the topical theme. Flowers were by Marshall Garden's Florist on Carolina Beach.

I love the first dance !!

The importance on family and spiritual relationships were very important to Angie and Ken. They both have wonderful family and friends.

Congrats Guys!
