This week we met a friend of mind at Johnny Mercer's Pier to photograph her grandchildren. Karen's grands come down without their parents each summer and spend a week having fun in Wilmington. What a cute bunch of kids...willing to do anything. We had a great time photographing them, plus it was a great evening to be on the shore...nice breeze. Here are some of my favorite shots of the kids.

Boys....

I love this shot !!!

Fun with texture adds drama and an uniqueness to this shot ... I think anyhow :o)

Megan & Jason 1st E-Pick

Megan and Jason plan to be married in August so we headed to Orton Plantation to do their E-session. A cute couple indeed...both red heads and tons of freckles :) Here are a few of my favorites.

Brian & Jennifer 1st Pick

Brian & Jenn were married last Sunday at Kenan Chapel with their reception at Blue Water. What a fun and nice couple. Boy were they nervous :) They had a destination wedding, I think the only family members that live in this area are Jenn's parents, everyone else drove or flew in. So needless to say, the wedding was very emotional and the reception was a total celebration.

On the way to Blue Water we stopped off at the beach to have some fun and we also got to spend some time with the couple on the docks around the restaurant. Here are some of my favorites.

Grace & May did a great job as flower girls....so cute. They loved to ride the trolley too :)
Stormy skies with rain :( The rain was nice enough to hold out for some shots.
Have fun in Mexico...Congrats.

Jennifer & Casey's 1st Pick

Jennifer and Casey were married Saturday at Wallace Baptist Church with their reception following at Rockfish CC. their ceremony & reception had a topical feel using bright topical flowers like birds of paradise. Olive Branch Florist was the masterminds behind the decor. We had a great time with this couple - all their sessions - you might remember their fun farm pics. Well here are a couple images from their wedding.

Congrats...

Jennifer's Bridal

It feels like I have been waiting forever to put Jenn's bridal online. Well finally she is married - living it up right now in Lake Tahoe for the honeymoon. Jenn was such a beautiful bride - a really classy look to her with bright blue eyes. Well please take a look. We did her sessions at Liberty Hall in Kenansville, NC and Fort Fisher.

Brandy & Greg

Brandy and Greg were married on June 7th at South Port Community Building right before sunset. We had a great time photographing this group...they had lots of energy and spirit. Greg and Brandy share a love of sports and the outdoors...so of course we had to do some beach shots. Greg is also a Nascar Man ! Brandy and her girls were real fun too...sporting the sarongs. Here are few images from their wedding, stay tuned for more.

Congrats...

Allyson & Tim Wedding Session

We went out this evening and had some fun with Allyson & Tim on their "After The Wedding " shoot. Well it was hot and the mosquitoes were out with vengeance but we were able to pull out some really cool shots. I really enjoy this couple...we were laughing the whole time...I think we need to go out to dinner one night :) This first shot here is fun and quirky but I think it is a keeper. Check out some of their other shots below.

We got this image with the help of our sharp-eyed friend, Chris VanAtta - who also provided some comic relief during the shoot.

Allyson really wanted to shoot on this Chinese bridge in the gardens. Legend has it that after walking through the graveyard at Orton, you walk the bridge to loose any evil spirit that may have followed you out...see spirits can not turn corners ( so I have been told ). Here is my angle and the next image is Derick's angle...that why it pays to have 2 photographers :)

Yeah!!!

Tania & Jeff

Tania and Jeff were married yesterday on Oak Island in front of close family and friends. What a great couple, very thoughtful and respecting of everyone around them. Tania really put on a event - details, details and more details. Even the bridesmaid and mother of the bride's jewelry was given special attention to. I can not even describe all the special details that capture their day. We had fun being with this family and wish them all the luck in the world. Here is a sneak peak for Tania :)

Stunning in her emerald green...very mermaid like...loved it. All her flowers were done by Flowers by Jan ; Valerie. What a GREAT job.
I love this shot!
Derick said Jeff was quite the Nervous Nelly but he had his boys to help him get though-
Valarie also did the arch - perfect.
Tania's son Dylan did a superb job acting as a groomsmen for his new dad. Here he is adding his shells to the unity sand vessel. Tania and Jeff defiantly wanted Dylan to be part of the day more than just being a groomsmen, so the had a special part in the ceremony where they presented him a white gold ring to symbolizes his part in their union...yeah I was crying :)
Jeff knows how to buy bling !!!! Plus the sand dollar the rings sit on he collect from the ocean on a dive - that's cool.
Here is the whole clan.....
Lots of emphasis was on the sunset so of course we had to capture it and boy was it a nice one.

I think this shot is my favorite, I just love how endearingly Jeff looks at Tania
Had some fun with this one...cool textures and brown tone
Congrats guys !
