Jamie & Eric 1st Pick

Amongst only close friends and family members, Jamie and Eric were united yesterday at Piney Woods Baptist Church in Chadburn. This wedding had a very personal touch, Jamie did all of her own flowers and reception decoration. She is a self proclaimed profectionish and I say... " Good Job Girly" and have a great time in the Caribbean. Catch some rays for us!

Congrats Guys...

Sara & Wes's 1st Pick

Sara and Wes did it...they tied the knot last Saturday on his family farm outside of Lexington, KY. It was a crazy day but we had a great time seeing all of Derick's family. The rain even held off...but as soon as the last dance was over the sky broke open...funny huh. Here are just a couple of their images from the day.

Wes and Sara have fun in Mexico and we love ya.

Congrats Guys......

Katie's Bridal

Emily & Mike's 1st Pick - well sort of

Saturday we photographed Emily and Mike's wedding. If you follow our blog you may recognize them from the E-session in the NC mountains. O.K. I just want to say I don't even know if I am recovered yet from the excitement and energy level of this wedding...WHAT A DAY :) We had the privilege at this wedding to work along with I think our best couple of the year plus some great vendors including Verzaals Florist and Life Stage Videography.....can not wait to see the video. Stay tuned to Matt & Melissa's blog to see the day in motion @ http://www.lifestagevideography.com/ for that. Emily and Mike are truly one of a kind and are head over heals in love with each other...their love is just electrifying and I could not wait to share their images with everyone. So take a look at a few of my favorite shots ( hard to choose just a few ).

This first images I love: I asked Emily why she planned to wear these birds in her hair - very nontraditional - and she said " I love the freedom birds symbolize ". That just speaks volumes for her personality. Check out that cool detail of Emily's dress too :)

Roberta from Verzaals Florist did Emily's flowers...Boy what a WONDERFUL and whimsical job. Truly her best work !!!

Love it !!!!! Good job Dpiner :)

Matt (Life Stage) and Derick stopped traffic on FRONT STREET ! for this shot but I love it.

Congrats Emily & Mike have a great honeymoon in the Mountain driving your Harley !!!!!

Ashley & Kevin 1st E-Pick

Ashley & Kevin are getting hitched in October so we met them down town and shot their E-session. Stay tuned for more images from their session.

Crunch!!!!

Getting my cell phone out of the camera bag after last nights wedding :(
I was just talking about how much punishment our equipment takes.

Katie & Matt 1st Pick

Katie and Matt were married April 26th at Westley United Methodist Church followed by a reception at Beau Rivage CC. Stay tuned for more images of their wedding.

Brian & Jenn

Jen & Brian are getting married in June so we got together a couple weeks ago and did their E-session. We started out on some trails near Jen's parents house in Landfall. I love the way the sun shines though the trees and gives the prefect light below. We followed up by shooting down to the Southend of Wrightsville Beach. Here are some of my favorite images from their session.

Jennifer & Alex

Jennifer & Alex were married at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church on April 5th with there reception following at the Mad Boar's Celtic Court. They say that if it rains on your wedding it is good luck...well they have lots of good fortune on the way. This Saturday it rained 1.5 inches, most of which happened on the way to the reception. Rain did not get this fun-hearted couple down, they still laughed and had an amazing time. Jenn & Alex currently live in Green Bay and do not get the chance often to come down to Wilmington, were they were raised. So this homecoming was particularly special. We started the day out early meeting Jenn at her parent's home, which was totally a log cabin mountain theme. Derick and I were just drooling over some of the decorations ... we are mountain / rustic treasure lovers :) Jenn's bathroom was painted this cool turquoise color which really made the photos pop...love it. Take a look below at their other images from the day.
I love this eye lash image :)
The girls of the day kept everyone laughing.
We love to photograph Catholic ceremonies just really to hear the cool stories of the couple's life. During this story we heard about how Jenn & Alex met and how he proposed during the Fourth of July fireworks down town and even some other little details that just had the audience in stitches. It was a get ceremony even I was laughing and crying before it was over.

Flower girls just want to have fun even if it means practicing your ballet moves during the ceremony :) Cute.
We had to make a pit stop at the PIG on the way to the reception, you know Wallace is like 30 minutes away and refreshments are a priority !

During the Father / Daughter dance they played a slide show of Jenn's childhood, what a wonderful touch lots of tears during that dance.

Alex pranked Jenn during the garter toss by pulling out a pair of granny panties about 6 sizes to big, great stuff.
Get low....
My two favorite shots of the day.

Congrats guys....
