Off to WPPI

We head out on Saturday morning to WPPI (Wedding Portrait Photographers International) annual trade show. This year it is going to be held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. It will give us a chance to check out new equipment and learn new tricks for the 2009 wedding season.

Jana's Bridals

Jana wanted to do her bridals at Fort Fisher - so we headed out there on a very cool day just a couple weeks before the wedding. We work well under pressure :O) We were able to catch some stunning shots of her - Check them out.

Jana & Bill

Jana and Bill were our first wedding of 2009 - married on January 24th- and we even got to do a little traveling. Their wedding took place at St. Luke's Chapel in Charleston, SC and their reception was on the Air force base :O) Jana and Bill were a most awesome couple, they kind of reminder me of Derick & me. They even share our sick sense of humor!! The little chapel where the ceremony was held was oh too prefect - I loved it - stone floors, stained glass windows and most importantly that old southern charm. We had so many ideas for images our heads were spinning but the rained foiled our plans. Never fear though, we will do a after session! and get some crazy Charleston shots !! Here are just a few of my favs from the day.

They did a unity sand - hour glass ! First time I have seen this idea, but it was great. Think about it - still get to do the whole unity sand and then the sand is contained and mixes all into themselves with each flip- OMG- great idea !!

Melissa & Brian were our last wedding of 2008 and what a great couple to close the year out with. They were married on December 14th at St. Thomas Preservation Hall. Everything is bigger in Texas even for this Wilmington wedding. Here is some shots from their big day
